Latin Punk Band sEiS pIsToS To Play SXSW & At Mambo Kings

sEiS pIsToS is back in the US beginning their first US dates of 2005 at SXSW. The Latin Punk Band form Mexico "SEIS PISTOS" is schedule to play at the 2005 edition of SXSW Music Festival And Conference at Austin Texas at Mambo Kings on Friday 18 of March 2005.

After working with long time producer Mark Wolfson (Stone Temple Pilots, Ice-T, Talking Heads, etc) at Steve Vai's recording studio The Mothership, sEiS pIsToS are back harder and louder than ever with new fresh songs and the same spice and flavor that made legendary music producer Kim Fowley say "I have heard the future of latin rock music: and that sound belongs to sEiS pIsToS, they truly are the latin Ramones for the 21st century rock marketplace."

sEiS pIsToS Latin Punk Rock mix is a unique sound that comes form the cultural development produced by globalization and the approaching of countries around the world. Being near the border with the US, sEiS pIsToS embraced both Mexican and American cultures and create a new cultural musical phenomena that made Canadian publication CHARTATTACK name them best band of the 2004 NXNE Music Conference in Toronto Canada. Before that, they appeared at the 2004 MECA Conference in Chicago Illinois, where they were spotted live for the first time by producer Mark Wolfson which schedule them to record immediately after that.

sEiS pIsToS' exceptional sound comes form the cultural development produced by globalization and the approaching of countries around the world, mainly in Mexico and USA. Being at the center of these two countries, the guys have been influenced from an early age (and at the same time) by the traditional latin music and good old rock and roll, form Elvis to Pedro Infante, these boys have been giving serenatas (serenades) to pretty "señoritas" since they were kids to playing their high energy sound in the LA streets. Their talent was acknowledge at the 2004 edition of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest where they came up as finalist in the Latin category.

Their Latin Punk, as they call the sEiS pIsToS sound, contains influences from all aspects of rock and roll, punk, ska, blues and some times even jazz, driven by the blazing high octane guitar sounds of Kenio, speed unique vocals of Ivan, hard melodic bass lines of Gaspar united by the big bad ass drumming of Victor.
